Volkswagen has a successful history of advertising. As a brand, they are known for creativity and ingenuity when it comes to their marketing strategies and they have carried this torch with them and will continue to do so. Recently, Volkswagen teamed up with Walk Off the Earth, a talented musical group that received some YouTube fame by recording a cover of Gotye’s song, “Somebody That I Used to Know”, while all five members played the same guitar. The end product of this dynamic collaboration was incredibly creative, to say the least.
The Beetle 3-Track – Gang of Rhythm
The Beetle 3- Track – Gang of Rhythm is the wonderful product of the aforementioned tag team. “3-Track” because it features three completely different flavors. The first genre, called “Playful,” could be described as fun and folky, and it features the artists using a Red 2014 Beetle Convertible to aid in making the light-hearted tunes. The second portion of the work is titled “Soulful.” Again, a Volkswagen model is featured, though this time it’s a white 2014 Beetle Coupe. Walk Off the Earth sings alongside a full choir giving the general sound a heavier and slower feel, while also offering a wider range of vocals. The final section of the song is termed “Powerful.” Using all electric instruments and the engine power of the reimagined and redesigned Volkswagen Beetle GSR, the music group makes a strong, lyric-free ballad of the original upbeat jam. This video is just one of many examples, in which Volkswagen has issued forth creative ideas that take advertising and marketing to a new level.
The timeless Volkswagen Beetle
The Beetle has proven to be a timeless and well-produced piece of Volkswagen craft, and the 2014 model is no different. The interior design is of course, excellent. It creates a meeting point for high fashion and functional utility, while still offering a plentiful amount of space.
